The Installation Assurance Authority Commercial Services (The IAA CS) is delighted to offer courses, fully funded for those in the Central Bedfordshire area, through BESA (Beds Education and Skills Academy) and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), which aims to support people to gain new skills and qualifications in the energy efficiency sector.
We have tailored training designed to address the urgent need for skilled professionals in the construction industry and will equip participants with the expertise needed to support the retrofitting of homes across Central Bedfordshire. What is more, if you live or work in Central Bedfordshire, this is free!

The IAA CS is offering fully-funded courses for the following:
- Level 2 Award in Understanding Domestic Retrofit, (duration 3 days) - Suitable for anyone with no previous experience or qualifications in the industry.
- Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency Measures for Older and Traditional Buildings, (duration 2 days) - Previous experience in the Construction industry is desirable.By completing these courses and working within the industry, you will be helping to address the skills shortage and support the energy efficiency industry in achieving the Government’s target of net zero by 2050.

This qualification is ideal for those who already have experience working in the construction industry and aims to enable learners to recognise and understand the requirements and characteristics of older and traditional buildings and develop knowledge of appropriate energy efficiency measures recommendations.
