About the Installation Assurance Authority Commercial Services (IAA CS) training
The IAA has become the go to technical authority for advice and support on energy efficiency measures having led the way on the development of technical guides for the industry, ensuring that standards are met by providing exemplary quality assurance, consumer protection and commercial services. The IAA has led the way in the delivery of effective, quality coordination services and has been fundamental to the development of current practices.
The IAA CS also offers training in courses to support industry standards including the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Insulation and Building Treatments (Construction) – Park Homes.
Course Outline
This qualification has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment. Learner must be employed to undertake this pathway in which this qualification will enable the learners to recognise their skills, knowledge and understanding and demonstrate competence within the workplace. Industry will accept the qualification/pathway on its own as entry to a job role.
This qualification/pathway consists of 5 mandatory units, a minimum of 2 units from optional Group A and 1 from Group B in addition to 1 unit in Group C. There is also an opportunity to complete an additional unit:
- Insulation and Building Treatments, Building Construction, Defects and Interfaces
- Developing and Maintaining Good Occupational Working Relationships in the Workplace
- Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
- Confirming Work Activities and Resources for an Occupational Work Area in the Workplace
- Confirming the Occupational Method of Work in the Workplace
Optional Group A:
- Installing Internal Insulation to Walls in the Workplace
- Installing Insulation to Framed Sections of Buildings in the Workplace
- Injecting, Blowing or Spraying Insulation to Framed Sections of Buildings in the Workplace
Optional Group B:
- Installing Insulation to Cold Roofs in the Workplace
- Installing Blown Insulation to Cold Roofs in the Workplace
- Develop Customer Relationships
Additional Group:
- Erecting and Dismantling Access/Working Platforms in the Workplace Prices
Course Cost
£950 + VAT per delegate
CITB Levy Grant - If you are a CITB Registered employer you could be entitled to £600 grant funding this course.
